77 People Who Want To Return To Java Island Isolated In Lampung Due To Reactive COVID-19

JAKARTA - A total of 77 people who wanted to cross to Java Island were netted at the Central Lampung Police Sealing Post in Rest Area 172 B of Sumatra Toll Road Terbanggi Besar-Pematang Panggang because of the reactive COVID-19.

"Yes, from May 15 to now we find there are 77 travelers who are reactive to COVID-19 after being tested quickly by health officials," said Central Lampung Police Chief AKBP Popon Ardianto Sunggoro while reviewing the post, in Central Lampung, quoted by Antara, Sunday, May 23.

The police chief explained that of the 77 people were partially isolated within PT Humas Jaya for the unacperthated, while the symptomatic were taken to a hospital in Central Lampung.

"We are strongly supported by the Regent of Central Lampung Musa Ahmad. So the government not only deploys health workers from ASN but also from the private sector, so that the needs of health workers in this post are fulfilled," he said.

He said, the mechanism of securing the backflow is still the same as securing the flow of Eid al-Fitr 2021 homecoming, i.e. every vehicle that is not from Lampung will be checked first.

"We check here, whether they bring a COVID-19-free certificate or swab results. Otherwise we're rapid here," he said.

According to him, the peak of Eid al-Fitr 1442 Hijri backflow is predicted to continue until May 24, 2021.

"But it is likely that this operation will still be extended until May 31. Therefore we encourage motorists who want to go to Java Island to bring a COVID-19 free certificate or antigen swab so that there is no buildup in this post," said Popon.
