Finally! WhatsApp Prepares Multi-Account Features For IOS Users
JAKARTA Multi-account support in the WhatsApp application has long been present for Android users. However, for iOS users, this feature still hasn't got the launch hilal.
Fortunately, WABetaInfo's latest findings show the future of this feature on iOS. Despite its late arrival, this feature is confirmed to be present in the app for iOS as WhatsApp begins testing multi-account support in the latest beta version in the release of TestFlight.
The concept is the same as the Android version of WhatsApp, where users can enter more than one account into the WhatsApp application. That way, if users have two accounts, they don't need to take advantage of third-party applications or WhatsApp Business.
Users who are members of the beta launch on the TestFlight will see a new menu that reads 'Laftar Account' in the settings. They will also find a special button next to the QR code icon. With this new menu, users can immediately add a new account.
For now, WhatsApp only supports the use of two accounts in one application, both recently created and existing ones. This additional account can be a new phone number, an account previously used on WhatsApp Business, or a companion account.

A companion account is an account that is already on another phone and can be linked by scanning the QR code. Once connected, the companion account will sync messages and settings automatically with the main device.
One important thing is that each account will have a unique and separate preferences. It includes chat history, backup configurations, and notification tones, ensuring the settings don't interfere with each other.
In addition, when displaying a notification, WhatsApp will show which account sent the message. This will help users avoid confusion between personal and professional accounts.
Until now, Meta has not disclosed the official schedule for when this feature will be rolled out widely in a stable version. However, this latest testing phase shows that the presence of its features is getting closer.
