Wuling Still Believes That Electric Car Sales Will Continue To Grow Next Year

JAKARTA - Wuling Motors (Wuling) is still confident regarding the sale of electric cars next year, although the incentives for PPnBM and VAT borne by the government (DTP) for cars and buses with a Domestic Content Level (TKDN) are at least 40 percent, of which 10 percent are still not clearly realized.

This was revealed by Wuling Motors Senior Brand Communication Manager Brian Gomgom, according to him, there are several factors that encourage the above.

"First, of course, the need for mobility and also some boundaries that can only be enjoyed by EVs," he said, when met in Ketapang, Tuesday, November 18.

The man who is familiarly called Gomgom provides an example of boundaries that can be enjoyed. Such as cheaper operational costs, regardless of incentives that can be directly felt.

Then for those in Jakarta it's odd-even free. So even electric cars also have that benefit, why are we still sure, because there are many benefits that are felt directly," he added.

Wuling itself currently has many electric car line-ups. There are ABC Stories ranging from Air ev, Badminton EV and Cloud EV. Most recently, Wuling officially launched the Dario EV which is quite in demand, even orders have reached 1,300 units.

The car that targets the MPV segment is equipped with a 150 kW electric motor or equivalent to 201 HP with a 310 Nm peak torque that is channeled to the front wheel through Single Reduction transmission. The energy source comes from the 69.2 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate battery which is capable of traveling up to 540 km (CLTC) with the Front Wheel Drive driving system.
