Festival 11.11: Indonesian Lazada Records 23-fold Transaction Surge

JAKARTA - Lazada Indonesia, through LazMall, managed to record more than 23 times the growth in the 11.11 online shopping festival which took place on November 10, 2025, compared to normal days.

Lazada Indonesia's Chief Executive Officer, Carlos Barrera, stated that this spike indicates that consumers, especially young families and aspirational consumers, are increasingly prioritizing quality and authenticity in their shopping decisions.

"Prices remain important, but along with the increasing lifestyle, quality and authenticity are the main factors in shopping decisions," Carlos said in a statement quoted Wednesday, November 19.

Almost all categories showed strong performance, with some recording fantastic growth: Outdoor Sports & Activities jumped 114 times, Mother & Children 26 times, and Beauty 26.3 times.

Meanwhile, electronic sales increased 21 times, household needs rose 20.4 times, sports and outdoor activities increased 9 times, home decorations rose 23 times, and media, music, and books increased 36 times.

In addition, LazKoin also plays an important role as a virtual coin that customers can collect and use to cut prices and get additional discounts.

During the 11.11 show, Carloz said that LazKoin's exchange rate was very high, with 20% of total sales coming from transactions partially paid using LazKoin.

"LazMall is now a destination for customers who are looking for original products from verified sellers, two key elements that build trust in online shopping," he added.
