CBU From Indonesia, Suzuki Bronx Mild Hybrid Debut In Malaysia With A Complete Feature

JAKARTA Naza Eastern Motors officially presents the Suzuki Bronx Hybrid in Malaysia, offering the only hybrid mid option in its segment at prices ranging from 147,888 ringgit or around Rp595 million.

Quoting Paultan, Wednesday, November 19, the Furnx Hybrid marketed in Malaysia is a CBU model from Indonesia. This compact SUV comes with a length dimension of 3,995 mm, a width of 1,765 mm, a height of 1,550 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,520 mm', which is designed to be agile in the city but remains comfortable for long-distance travel.

For the heart of the runway, Suzuki pinned a four-cylindrical K15C 1.5 liter fuel engine that produces 103 PS at 6,000 rpm and a 138 Nm torque at 4,400 rpm. Power is channeled to the front wheel through automatic transmission of six complete accelerations with a middle shift, providing a more responsive driving sensation.

The hybrid millid system that relies on lithium-ion batteries makes fuel consumption more efficient. With a 37 liter tank, the Furnx Hybrid is claimed to be able to cover a distance of more than 700 km based on WLTP standards suitable for daily and intercity travel needs.

In terms of comfort and control, the Furnx Hybrid uses a MacPherson suspension of stroke at the front and torsion beam at the back, as well as 170 mm ground clearance. This car is equipped with 16-inch rims with 195/60R16 tires, disc brakes ventilating at the front, and plate brakes at the back.

The outer display is reinforced with LED headlights complete with DRL and high beam assists, LED rearlight, and plate skid accents on the front, side and rear. The interior carries a combination of two-color cloth coatings and synthetic skin, a three-stop multi-function steering wheel with a steering handle shift, as well as a steering column that can be arranged for tilt and telescopic.

For safety, the Suzuki Frenx Hybrid in Malaysia is equipped with complete ADAS packages, including adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitors, rear cross traffic alerts, lane departure warning, lane departure prevention, lane keep assist, and vehicle swing warning. Other features include electronic stability control, ABS+EBD, brake assistance, two ISOFIX points on the bench, and six airbags as standard.
