Prince MBS Affirms Normalization Of Saudi Arabia With Israel Depends On Palestinian Country

JAKARTA - Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) confirmed on Tuesday that the normalization of his country's relations with Israel through the Abrahamic Agreement initiated by United States President Donald Trump depends on the clarity of the Palestinian State.

He said this during a meeting with President Trump at the White House on Tuesday, during an official state visit to the United States.

"We want to be part of the Abrahamic Agreement. But we also want to make sure we secure a clear path to a two-state solution," Prince MBS said in the Oval Room, White House with President Trump.

"We will try, to ensure that we can prepare for the right situation as soon as possible," he continued.

"We want peace for Israel. We want peace for Palestine. We want them to coexist peacefully in this region, and we will do our best to reach that date," Prince MBS said.

Saudi Arabia has repeatedly stated that it will not normalize relations with Israel without a Palestinian State.

Prince MBS' official state visit in Uncle Sam's country is planned to last for two days. Apart from meeting President Trump, Prince MBS will also meet members of Congress from the Senate and House of Representatives on Tuesday.

The next day, Prince MBS and President Trump are scheduled to attend the US-Saudi Investment Forum at the Kennedy Center, before ending their official state visit after the event.
