Medco Announces Addition Of 9 MMSCFD Gas Supply From Corridor Block
JAKARTA - Medco E&P Grissik Ltd (Medco E&P), together with SKK Migas recorded positive results from work-over activities of Sumur Suban-22ST2 in Corridor Block, Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra.
Production test results showed an additional 9 MMSCFD of gas, well exceeding the initial target of 2 MMSCFD.
President Director of Medco E&P, Ronald Gunawan, said that this achievement is a form of synergy and effectiveness in the implementation of the well optimization program.
We are grateful for this success. Suban-22ST2 results prove that optimizing existing wells through a more precise technical approach and operational efficiency can contribute to increasing national production," he said, Tuesday, November 18.
He added that the rework activities were carried out rigidly, allowing for a faster and more efficient process.
The work lasted for 12 days and was completed on November 10, 2025.

Sementara itu, Kepala Satuan Kerja Khusus Pelaksana Kegiatan Usaha Hulu Minyak dan Gas Bumi (SKK Migas) Djoko Siswanto menyampaikan rasa syukurnya atas keberhasilan KKKS PT Medco E&P Grissik Ltd telah melakukan kegiatan kerja ulang (work over) pada sumur pengembangan Suban-22ST2.
Proyek yang dimula dimulai pada 30 Oktober 2025 ini dinyatakan selesai pada 10 November 2025, bertepatan dengan hari Pahlawan.
“Keberhasilan kegiatan kerja ulang (work over) Sumur Suban-22ST2 di Blok Corridor dengan potensi tambahan gas sebesar 9 MMSCFD akan memperkuat pasokan gas nasional dan mendukung program ketahanan energi,” tandas Djoko.

Meanwhile, Head of the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) Djoko Siswanto expressed his gratitude for the success of KKKS PT Medco E&P Grissik Ltd in carrying out work-over activities at the Suban-22ST2 development well.
The project, which started on October 30, 2025, was declared complete on November 10, 2025, to coincide with Heroes' Day.
"The success of Suban-22ST2 Sumur workover activities in Corridor Block with an additional gas potential of 9 MMSCFD will strengthen the national gas supply and support the energy security program," said Djoko.
