Masses Hold Demo Asking Constitutional Court Judge Arsul Sani To Resign Due To Allegations Of Fake Diplomas
JAKARTA - Hundreds of masses on behalf of the Alliance of Concerned Communities, the Constitutional Court held an action behind the Constitutional Court Building, Abdul Muis Street, Gambir, Central Jakarta.
In their action, the masses brought various posters to billboards that voiced the controversy over the Constitutional Court Judge Arsul Sani because he was suspected of having a doctoral diploma or fake doctoral degree.
The coordinator of the action, Imam Zarkasi said, there were three demands brought in a demonstration related to this alleged fake diploma. First, demanding the Police to examine Arsul legally. The second demand urges Arsul to immediately resign from his position as a Constitutional Court Judge.
"Thirdly, we urge law enforcers to immediately thoroughly investigate the alleged fake, illegal or illegal doctoral diploma of the humanum colony which was allegedly used during the Constitutional Court selection in 2023," he said.
Imam explained that Arsul was suspected of using a fake or illegal doctoral diploma from the Collegium Humanum-Warsaw Management University in 2023 to take part in the selection of Constitutional Court Judges.
In fact, the university has been declared part of an organized criminal network by the Polish Central Anti-Corruption Bureau due to the practice of buying and selling fake diplomas.
"This means that the source of this title itself has been polluted by criminal acts," said Imam.
The Alliance of Concerned Communities of the Constitutional Court stated that the use of illegal diplomas by public officials, especially the Constitutional Court Judge, was harassment of the law and insults to the people.
This action is considered to erode public trust in the Constitutional Court as an institution that should be the last bastion of justice.
