PM Takaichi Ready To Increase RI-Japan Partnership, Foreign Minister Sugiono: Have A Vision That Is In Line With President Prabowo
JAKARTA - Foreign Minister Sugiono said Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi had a vision that was in line with the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto.
He said this after carrying out an honorary visit with the Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin to PM Takaichi, Tuesday, November 18.
In a meeting at the Japanese Prime Minister's Office, PM Takaichi emphasized that Indonesia is a strategic partner of Japan in various fields, and is ready to support President Prabowo's various priority programs.
"PM Takaichi has a vision that is in line with President Prabowo who prioritizes economic welfare and resilience as a priority," said Foreign Minister Sugiono, launching a statement from the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, November 18.
PM Takaichi further paid special attention to the increase in Japanese maritime cooperation with Indonesia, which is seen as not only contributing to the people of the two countries, but also to stability and security.
In the field of food security, PM Takaichi also offered the superiority of Japanese agricultural technology and production in helping increase productivity and industrialization in the Indonesian agricultural sector.
He believes that the 2+2 meeting between the Foreign Minister and the Defense Minister of the two countries which was held yesterday will further strengthen cooperation between Indonesia and Japan.
In this warm meeting, Japan, Foreign Minister Sugiono and Defense Minister Sjafrie conveyed warm greetings and hopes from the President of the Republic of Indonesia for success under the leadership of PM Takaichi.
Meanwhile, PM Takaichi expressed his longing for gado-gado, one of his favorite Indonesian foods. This expression reflects the close relationship between communities which is an important foundation for relations between Indonesia and Japan.
