The Ministry Of Finance's DGT Intensifys Year-End Supervision To Maximize Tax Revenue
JAKARTA - Director General of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance, Bimo Wijayanto, explained the various concrete steps that his party will take to achieve the tax revenue target by the end of 2025, while increasing the compliance of taxpayers and public trust.
He conveyed that the DGT will optimize supervision of the payment of the period, especially the November and December periods, by utilizing the maximum available data.
"So for the period from November, December, we will really intensify the existing data. Then we will also increase supervision of material compliance, if there really needs to be testing such as audits, we will conduct audits. Of course audits are also incentivizing the industry to be more comply," he explained in Andi Shalini's dialogue with the Director General of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, Bimo Wijayanto in the Swawk Box, Tuesday, November 18.
Bimo said that DGT also continues to expand its tax base through the activation of new taxpayers and carry out sustainable improvements to the internal administration system.
"There are a lot of new mandatory activations that enter taxpayer basketball. We also fix our tax administration internal system. So we continue to fix the vortex, we continue to perfect it," he said.

Bimo juga menekankan pentingnya sinergi dengan berbagai unit di Kementerian Keuangan seperti Bea Cukai dan Direktorat Jenderal Anggaran, serta koordinasi dengan aparat penegak hukum termasuk Polri, Kejaksaan Agung, KPK, PPATK, dan lembaga lainnya.

He added that efforts to build public trust not only depend on the sophistication of the system, but also on the integrity of human resources.
"Because the front line of the tax service is 44,000 troops in our big house at the Directorate General of Taxes, I will not tolerate anything if there is a fraud between them. So this is to confirm that the community can put their trust on us," he explained.
Bimo also emphasized the importance of synergy with various units at the Ministry of Finance such as Customs and Excise and the Directorate General of Budget, as well as coordination with law enforcement officials including the National Police, Attorney General's Office, KPK, PPATK, and other institutions.
