Dead Machine In The Middle Of The Sea Batang Dua Ternate, 12 Jeni Jaya Crew Members Successfully Evacuated Without Wounds

CILACAP All passengers of the fishing boat KM Jeni Jaya 05, who were previously swept away due to engine damage in the waters of Batang Dua, Ternate City, were successfully evacuated safely.

Head of the Operations and Alert Section of the Ternate SAR Office, Syahran Laturua, said that all passengers, 12 crew members (ABK) had arrived at the Bastiong Ternate Fisheries Port without injury.

"After KM Jeni Jaya 05 suffered engine failure in Batang Dua waters, now all passengers have been evacuated safely," he said in Ternate, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, November 18.

He explained that the Rescue Team of the Ternate SAR Office used Kn SAR 237 Pandudewanata with the fishing boat KM Kapidia to move to the location after receiving an emergency report. At around 16.05 WIT, the team found KM Jeni Jaya 05 at coordinates 0.500'1.80"N 127°1'22.38"E.

All crew members were found in good condition and then KM Kapidia withdrew the damaged ship, escorted by Kn SAR 237 Pandudewanata to the Bastiong Ternate Fishing Port.

At 20.25 WIT, the ship managed to dock and the entire crew was immediately handed over to the family and ship owners.

"With the evacuation of the ship and all crew members, the SAR operation was declared complete and closed. All elements involved were returned to their respective units," said Syahran.

Operasi SAR melibatkan Kantor SAR Ternate, Dinas Kelautan dan Perikanan Kota Ternate, RAPI Kota Ternate, Orari, pemilik kapal, KM Cakardia, serta keluarga korban.

Adapun 12 kru KM Jeni Jaya 05 ialah: Capt. Ivan Wenas (56), Jemi (48), Kris (44), Hedy Maku (46), Herlin (50), Agustinus (43), Andika (45), Yansen (55), Muhtar (43), Rojak (33), Sarip (32), Andri (45).
