Field Practice Accident In Malino, Unhas Victim Begins To Recover
MAKASSAR - The condition of a Unhas student who was the victim of an accident in Malino, Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi, on Sunday, November 16, is now continuing to improve after receiving intensive care from Unhas Hospital, Makassar City.
"The person concerned is still at Unhas Hospital and his condition continues to improve," said Head of Public Relations of Unhas Ishaq Rahman in Makassar, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, November 18.
He explained, of the 11 students who were victims of the accident that occurred in Sierra area, Malino, last Sunday (16/11), all were immediately allowed to go home that same day. While one other victim (male) had to live undergoing treatment at the hospital.
"I haven't got the latest update this morning (whether I can go home or still need treatment). I'll check the progress soon," he said.
Previously, as many as 70 students majored in agronomitism at the Unhas Faculty of Agriculture along with 16 lecturers and three educators carried out field practices in Malino, on Saturday (15/11).
However, on the way home Sunday (16/11) at around 13.00 WITA, one of the trucks carrying 17 students had a single accident, which was overturned on the downhill and winding roads.
Ishaq explained, as a result of the incident, as many as 11 students were injured. They were immediately evacuated by the community who were at the accident site to the nearest health center for medical treatment.
