Palestine Welcomes UN DK Resolution, Ready To Support Implementation And Responsibility
JAKARTA - Palestine welcomes the ratification of a draft United States resolution on Gaza by the United Nations Security Council in a vote at the US United Nations Headquarters on Monday.
The draft confirms the establishment of a permanent and comprehensive ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the delivery of unrestricted humanitarian aid, and the right of the Palestinian people to self-determine and establish their independent State.
"Palestinian emphasizes the urgent need to immediately implement this resolution in the field, in a way that ensures a return to normal life, protects our people in the Gaza Strip, prevents evacuation, ensures full withdrawal of occupation forces, allows reconstruction, stops attempts to thwart a two-state solution and prevents annexation," WAFA reported November 18.
Furthermore, Palestine expressed its full readiness to cooperate with the US Government, members of the Security Council, Arab and Islamic countries, the European Union and member states, the United Nations, as well as all parties in the international coalition and partners in the New York Declaration, to ensure the implementation of this resolution in a way that ends the suffering of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem, as well as advancing the political path towards peace, security and stability between Palestine and Israel, based on a two-state solution based on international law and legitimacy.
As previously reported, the United Nations Security Council approved a draft resolution on a Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict carried by the United States.
A total of 13 UN DK member states approved this draft resolution. Meanwhile, two other member countries abstain, quoted from UN News's uploads on social media X.
The resolution adopted authorized the Peace Council and deployment of the International Stabilization Forces (ISF) in Gaza, as part of the US plan.
