Prabowo Determined To Improve All Schools In Indonesia: Education Is Investment
JAKARTA - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto emphasized his government's great commitment to improving all schools in Indonesia, without exception.
This was conveyed when greeting school representatives throughout Indonesia via virtual at the Launch of Learning Digitization for Smart Indonesia, at SMPN 4 Bekasi City, West Java, Monday 17 November.
Prabowo emphasized that the government does not turn a blind eye to the various shortcomings of educational facilities that are still being met in many areas. But the most important thing, he said, is the commitment to fix it thoroughly.
"We are not shy, we admit, but we are determined to improve everything. I am determined that the government that I lead will improve all schools in Indonesia," said Prabowo.
Prabowo assessed that education is the main foundation for the nation's future, so it should not be treated as a side affair.
According to him, the largest investment in a country is not in physical buildings or infrastructure, but in human quality forged through good education.
"We are not playing games. The problem of education is investment in the future of the nation. Thank you teachers, I believe that starting from the teachers who will pave the way," he explained.
The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education (Kemendikdasmen) launched the Learning Digitization Program for Smart Indonesia. This program is a strategic step to accelerate the digital transformation of national education and provide more interactive, fun, and equitable learning services throughout Indonesia.
