Padel For Hope 2025 Realizes New Hope For Children With Kronis Diseases
JAKARTA - Pedel sports are becoming a new phenomenon in Indonesia. Sports that combine tennis and squash elements are not only in demand by athletes and the sports community, but also more and more professionals who seek healthy activities as well as social entertainment.
The combination of fast games, easy-to-learn techniques, and their inclusive properties make the padel popular in various levels of society. Recently, the padel has also become a medium for social movements, as seen in the 2025 Padel for Hope event.
This is a charity padel tournament initiated by the Ronald McDonald House Charities Foundation (Yayasan RMHC) in collaboration with Showtime Padel. This event managed to collect donations of more than Rp600 million (before administration), which will be distributed for the construction of the largest halfway house owned by the RMHC Foundation in Indonesia, located in Kemanggisan, West Jakarta.
This halfway house aims to help the families of pediatric patients with chronic diseases referred to Harapan Kita Hospital, Harapan Kita Hospital, and Dharmais Cancer Hospital.
"We are very pleased to see the enthusiasm and appreciation of the extraordinary support from the participants, sponsors, and the entire community who have contributed through the 2025 Padel for Hope. Their enthusiasm shows that the value of concern is still very much alive in our society. Each rupiah collected will be part of the hope for children with chronic diseases and their families," said Caroline Djajadiningrat, Chair of the RMHC Foundation in a statement to VOI.

Cross-sector collaboration is the key to the success of this event. One of them came from McDonald's Indonesia, the main sponsor and partner of the RMHC Foundation donation since 2011, which has supported this activity in order to expand access to the health of Indonesian children.
The tournament was held on November 8' 9 2025 at Crown Padel, Alam Sutera, with a total of 120 teams from five categories: Men Bronze Open, Women Lower Bronze Open, Men Silver Open, and Men & Women Influencer Cup. More than 200 participants and 300 spectators also enlivened the two-day event.
"The 2025 Guidel for Hope is an example of goodness that can be realized in a fun and meaningful way. Our support is not only in this tournament, but also in the great mission of the RMHC Foundation to improve the health of Indonesian children who come from underprivileged families," explained Meta Rostiawati, Associate Director of Communications McDonald's Indonesia.
This year, the special edition of McHappy Socks was also released, all of which were sold for the construction of the fourth RMHC Foundation Shelter.
Please note, every year around 80,000 babies in Indonesia are born with Congenital Heart Disease (PJB), and most of them have to undergo intensive treatment in the long term.
The RMHC Foundation understands the importance of the presence of a halfway house close to health facilities, especially for low-income families who have to stay away from home during treatment.
"We express our gratitude and gratitude. This support reminds us that no child is struggling alone and we ensure that every child can undergo treatment with the full support of the family, because of No Child Heals Alone. The halfway house in Kemanggisan will be our biggest, with 66 rooms and four floors, and give new hope to thousands of families of pediatric patients," said Caroline.
The RMHC Foundation has collaborated with PERKI (Indonesian Cardiovascular Specialist Association) to expand access to medical assistance. To date, three RMHC shelters in Jakarta and Denpasar have provided more than 45,000 nights of stay for 1,800 families of pediatric patients.
The spirit of mutual cooperation continues to be echoed. Donations for the Padel for Hope are still open until November 30, 2025. Each form of support brings a glimmer of hope to the children of the warrior and his family.
