Kadishub Medan Corruption Suspect MFF Mangkir From Summons Examination

The Head of the Medan City Transportation Service, ES, a suspect in the alleged corruption case of the Medan Fashion Festival (MFF) activity in 2024, did not attend the summons of the Special Crime Investigators of the Medan District Attorney to undergo an examination.

"Today the person concerned did not attend to fulfill the summons as a suspect," said Head of the Special Crimes Section of the Medan Kejari Mochamad Ali Rizza as reported by ANTARA, Monday, November 17.

Rizza said the absence of ES was conveyed through a sick certificate that was deposited in the One Stop Integrated Service (PTSP) of the Medan Kejari.

Investigators will again send their next call to the suspect. If ES still does not fulfill the call, investigators will make coercive efforts.

"We will reschedule the recall to the person concerned," he said.

The Medan Kejari stated that HE was named a suspect in the alleged corruption case of the Medan Fashion Festival 2024 activities when he served as Secretary of the Medan City Industry and Trade SME Cooperative Service as well as Commitment Making Officer (PPK).

Previously, on Thursday (13/11), ES was also not present to fulfill the summons of investigators scheduled with two other suspects, namely BIN as a Budget User (PA) and MH as Director of CV Global Mandiri as the executor of the activity.

Both have been detained at the Tanjung Gusta Medan Rutan for 20 days.

Head of the Medan Attorney General's Office, Fajar Syah Putra, said that the determination of the three suspects was made after investigators found two sufficient pieces of evidence.

From the results of the investigation, at the Medan Fashion Festival with a budget ceiling of IDR 4.85 billion, it was found that procedural irregularities and payments were not in accordance with the provisions, causing state losses of IDR 1.132 billion.

"If the ES suspect is not present again without valid reasons, we will make forced efforts," said Fajar.
