Chery Claims J6T Orders Are Significant Even Though Prices Are Still Mysterious

JAKARTA - PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) claims that the recently launched Chery J6T order is quite significant. Although, the electric SUV is still unknown at the exact price.

Launched on November 8, Chery J6T can indeed be ordered and is claimed not to experience long indents. Regarding the update on the order of Chery J6T, the Director of Sales of PT CSI Budi Darmawan, gave a little leak even though he did not mention the exact figure.

"Yes, there is already (the message). I just haven't got the data because it's a coincidence that they usually just report Monday afternoon. So over the weekend I haven't seen it. But there are quite a significant number," said Budi in Bogor, Monday, November 17.

J6T comes with features and technologies that are different from the previous J6 model. Where, it has a maximum power of up to 205 kWh with a maximum torque of 385 Nm, to reach 0 to 100 Km/hour it only takes 6.5 seconds.

The battery supports fast charging, in just 25 minutes from the battery level of 30 to 80 percent. The J6T Chery is claimed to be capable of traveling as far as 441 km for the RWD variant, then the IWD variant is claimed to be up to 436 km in one disbursement (NEDC) in one charge.

Even though it has been introduced publicly, Chery still has official price meetings from J6T. The Chinese manufacturer will only reveal the price on November 21 at the 2025 Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) event.

"So J6T is as I promised, we will launch the price at GJAW on the first day. So just wait for the 21st (November 2025)," he said.

"Currently J6 and J6T will run simultaneously, yes. Because J6T is a complementary variant of J6 existing J6. J6T is in the position on J6 indeed. The road is the same. So it's not replacing, "concluded Budi.
