Valve Announces The Presence Of Steam Frame, Steam's Latest Hardware Line Starting 2026
JAKARTA - Valve officially announced the expansion of its hardware line by introducing Steam Frame, a new device ready to launch in early 2026.
The company said that this new product would complement Steam's previously existing Hardware families, such as Steam Deck, Steam Controller, and Steam Machine.
In its announcement, Valve confirmed that all these new devices are designed to provide a more optimal gaming experience for Steam ecosystem users.
Like Steam Deck, these devices are also optimized to run games via SteamOS, a Linux-based operating system that has been tailored for gaming needs.
Just like Steam Deck, all hardware is optimized to play games on Steam, and everything is designed to help players get more benefits from their Steam Library, Valve wrote.
That way, users can stream or play games across devices, including through Steam Deck. They also make sure their new device is compatible with non-Valve hardware.

"And because Valve remains committed to the open PC ecosystem, these new devices also function well with non-Valve devices," the company continued.
Ahead of the official launch, Valve also expanded its Deck Verified program, which previously only applies to Steam Deck.
The program now includes Steam Machine and Steam Frame, so players can find out the compatibility and performance of the games they have on the new device.
