Discourse On Integration Schools, Prabowo: Facilities Will Be Modern Like Developed Countries

JAKARTA - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto said that the construction of an integrated school will use modern facilities that are aligned with school standards in developed countries.

"My plan is that we will start making schools integrated with modern facilities, the same as schools in developed countries," Prabowo said in a speech at the launch of the use of interactive flat panels (IFP) or smartboards for schools in Indonesia at SMPN 4 Bekasi City, West Java, Monday, confiscated by Antara.

Prabowo expressed his commitment to improving all schools in Indonesia. The President wants to consolidate schools so that they have a good education system.

"I said earlier that I repaired all schools in Indonesia, and we want the consolidation of the schools. If the schools are students that are lacking, we will consolidate them and we will build good schools," said Prabowo.

It is known, President Prabowo plans to build schools that are integrated from elementary to high school levels aimed at students from middle class groups or those who fall into the decile category 3 to decile 6.

Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Pratikno conveyed that his ministry was assigned to create a concept regarding the integration school.

"We were ordered to think more deeply, maybe some kind of integrated school in each sub-district, there is an elementary school, there is a junior high school, there is a high school with complete facilities, laboratory facilities, sports, workshops, yes for vocational, and so on," said Pratikno at the Presidential Palace. RI, Jakarta, Wednesday 5 November.

"So it's not just about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, but the President added that there are arts and sports," he added.

Pratikno explained that to produce excellent students in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), the government has launched the Garuda School, while to ensure equitable education for children from families with very poor (desil 1) and poor (desil 2) categories, there is the People's School.

"This requires a more in-depth study, elaborated by the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education," said Pratikno.

On the same occasion, Pratikno explained that the integration schools that would later be formed by the government did not have to be new schools, because there was an option to convert existing public schools. The move was carried out when it formed the Garuda School.
