Indra Sjafri Still Waiting For Marselino To Join The U-23 Indonesian National Team For The 2025 SEA Games
JAKARTA - The U-23 Indonesian national team coach, Indra Sjafri, is still waiting for the presence of Marselino Ferdinand to prepare for the 2025 SEA Games.
Until now, Marselino has not joined a team that has undergone a training camp and is on a training agenda against the U-23 Mali.
Although the competition in midfield is quite tight, Indra did not close the door for Marselino, who is currently pursuing a career in the US Trencin. He hopes that the joining of Marselino can improve the quality of the team.
"In the future, we will improve individual player quality and build a team to the fullest. The most important thing is to determine the best players of the existing 30 names, including hoping abroad players can join for the SEA Games."

"We are also still communicating with several other players, including Marselino," said Indra Sjafri in a statement quoted Monday, November 17, 2025.
When he became the 2023 SEA Games champion, Indra also included Marselino on the cast list. At that time, Marselino worked hand in hand with Rizky Ridho, Ernando Ari, Pratama Arhan, Witan Sulaeman, Ramadhan Sananta, Beckham Putra, and Alfeandra Dewangga.
Apart from Marselino, other names that brought Indonesia U-23 to gold in Cambodia and were again called up for the 2025 SEA Games were Muhammad Ferarri and Ananda Raehan.
Unlike Marselino, Ferari and Raehan have joined TC and the trial agenda ahead of the 2025 SEA Games.
