Discussing Indonesian Tourism, Commission VII Of The House Of Representatives Alludes To The Development Of Glass Lifts At Kelingking Beach, Bali

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of Commission VII DPR RI, Evita Nursanty, poked fun at the performance of the Minister of Tourism (Menpar) Widiyanti Putri Wardhana regarding tourism spatial planning in the country.

According to Evita, many tourist attractions are not in accordance with the Regional Spatial Planning (RTRW) and the National Destination Spatial Planning (RTDN).

"The first thing, ma'am, is that our destination spatial planning is chaotic, our destinations are chaotic, there are many buildings, the destinations that are built are not in accordance with the RTDN RTRW, for example a nickel mine in Raja Ampat, was lifted by our friend lift at Kelingking Beach," said Evita at a Working Meeting with the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism (Kemenpar) at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Monday, November 17.

Evita then highlighted the problem of RTRW in the construction of a glass elevator at Kelingking Beach, Nusa Penida, Bali. He revealed that these problems were discovered when Commission VII of the DPR RI made a working visit to Bali.

"This is a problem here, apparently when we Commission VII DPR RI went to Bali, met Mr. Wayan Koster, he said the problem was in the OSS (Online Single Submission) system that we had to fix. Now improvements, this improvement, I want the Minister in front," he said.

Even so, Evita assessed that Menpar Widiyanti had promoted tourism in Indonesia well. However, he hopes that Menpar Widiyanti can pay more attention to Indonesia's tourism spatial planning.

"If your promotion is extraordinary, you want gastronomi, you want wellness to be really quality tourism, which is big, you have big dispensers there, ma'am. That's extraordinary. But, when we talk about tourism development, it's not only short-term, we have to build this tourism for the long term," he said.

The PDIP legislator from the Central Java electoral district also said that the incident in Bali was not the fault of Menpar Widiyanti. However, Evita hopes that Widiyanti can become a leader related to the solution to tourism spatial problems.

"It is not the responsibility of the Minister, the mistake has nothing to do with the Minister, but because this is related to the tourism of the Minister, this is the leader," he said.

Evita assessed that the cause of the construction of the glass elevator at Kelingking Beach was due to the lack of communication with the local government. He said investors only argued that they had obtained permits through OSS.

"Pak Wayan Koster said the OSS was not communicated with the local government, whether it was the Regent or the Governor. So the construction of the glass elevator at Kelingking Beach is stopped now with the Governor, Ma'am," said Evita.

"The investor said it was easy, 'I have obtained permission, the permit is through OSS' It means that there is a system that we have to fix, ma'am, right," he added.

Di sisi lain, Evita juga menyoroti daerah pariwisata di Kalimantan Utara hingga Labuan Bajo. Dia berharap rata tuang yang amburadul di RI bisa diselesaikan dengan baik.

"We went to Kaltara, yes, in tourism areas there is an industry, this is indeed now in Labuan Bajo, on Komodo Island, we also know that the spatial layout is given permission. Now, if we don't fix it, our tourism development in the future will be even more chaotic and will be more chaotic. So there must be leadership from the leading tourism to sit with K/L, related K/L for this system, ma'am," he concluded.
