Israeli Drone Attacks Claimed To Kill Two Hezbollah Commanders In Lebanon

JAKARTA - Israeli drone attacks in southern Lebanon have killed two military commanders of the Shia Hezbollah movement, Al Hadath TV channel reported.

According to the broadcaster, the attack targeted their car in the Al-Mansouri region of Tyre District, as reported by TASS on November 17.

Meanwhile, reports from the Lebanese National News Agency identified the death toll as Mohammed Shoueikh and said he was a school principal in al-Mansouri, according to Al Arabiya of AFP.

Earlier, an Israeli drone attack on the Nabatieh region of southern Lebanon killed Muhammad Ali Hadid, a senior member of Hezbollah's elite Radwan Force, on November 3. Another senior member of Hezbollah, Samir Ali Fakuh, died near the city of Saida in southern Lebanon on November 10.

Last November, Lebanon and Israel agreed a ceasefire to end more than a year of fighting between Israel and the Hezbollah militia, which broke out following the start of the Gaza war.

Under the agreement, Israel will withdraw its troops from southern Lebanon, but still place them in five areas deemed strategic.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, Israel has launched more than 5,000 attacks in Lebanon since the start of the year despite a ceasefire agreement. A total of 309 people were killed and 598 injured in the attack.

Meanwhile, Israel argued its military offensive to Lebanon targeted the location and operation of the militant group Hezbollah.
