myBCA App Is Now On Smartwatches, Allowing You To View Balances And Make QRIS Transactions
JAKARTA - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) has launched the myBCA service on smartwatches, as part of the company's commitment to providing digital-based services relevant to the development of the Internet of Things (IoT).
BCA Executive Vice President of Transaction Banking Product Development, Jan Hendra, stated that this launch allows customers to access various banking services directly through their smartwatches.
On these smartwatches, customers will be able to perform several functions, including checking balance information, viewing transactions, and making cardless transactions using QRIS CPM (Customer Presented Mode) and QRIS Tap.
"Through this new feature, we hope to help BCA customers conduct transactions more easily and quickly," said Jan Hendra in a statement quoted on Monday, November 17.
The presence of the myBCA on Smartwatch service, amidst this IoT development, is expected to not only help customers with transactions but also adapt to people's lifestyles.
Customers who wish to use myBCA on Smartwatch must first pair their smartphone with a WatchOS or WearOS-based smartwatch.
Customers must have an active BCA ID registered in the myBCA mobile app, and each BCA ID can only be connected to one smartwatch. Once connected, customers can immediately make transactions via the smartwatch.
Users can also unbind their devices in emergencies, such as if their smartwatch is lost. Disconnection can be done via the myBCA mobile app or Halo BCA to block the BCA ID.
"All data exchange between the smartphone and smartwatch is encrypted and sent directly over a secure Bluetooth connection, without using public networks," added Lidya Candra, SVP of Customer Touchpoint Solutions for the BCA App.
