NTB All Out Benahi Infrastructure, Tens Of Billions Were Disbursed For The 2025 Smooth Road
MATARAM - The Provincial Government of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) continues to accelerate the work on a number of road and bridge infrastructure projects so that everything can be completed by 2025.
Head of the NTB Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Agency, Sadimin, said the projects were scattered on the islands of Lombok and Sumbawa Island.
One of them is the reconstruction of the Simpang Tano Intersection Road section in Sateluk in West Sumbawa Regency with a length of 3.8 kilometers. The budget disbursed reached Rp32.5 billion and the physical progress has now reached 63.36 percent.
"The drainage condition is not good and floods often occur during the rainy season. It is hoped that this work will be able to facilitate the trip to West Sumbawa Regency and overcome flooding in Tambaksari Village," said Sadimin, Antara, Sunday, November 16.
Another project is the reconstruction of the Jalan Tanjung Geres'Pohgading'Pringgabaya section in East Lombok Regency along 4 kilometers. Physical progress has reached 76.14 percent with a budget of IDR 28 billion.
The completion of this section is expected to shorten the travel time from the Lembar Harbor to the Kayang Harbor via the Batu Jahe Province 'Praya Keruak' Hajj Port 'Pohgading' Panginggabaya' Kayangan. The road is also projected to be a trigger for the development of the eastern coastal area, especially the fisheries, food and tourism sectors.
The NTB Provincial Government also handles the Lenanggular Street Section in Sumbawa Regency along Kilometer 69 to 71. The budget prepared is more than Rp. 20 billion. According to Sadimin, if it is not handled immediately, the access of Lunyuk residents can be cut off and they must take a route round through West Sumbawa with a travel time of up to six hours.
In addition, periodic maintenance is also carried out on Jalan Batu Nyale 'Sengkol on Lombok Island. The condition of road damage at that point has been long enough due to the understable base layer and the excavation of drinking water pipes that do not meet the depth standards. The repair budget reaches IDR 3.9 billion with a progress of 17.61 percent.
"If this section is not handled immediately, the potential for accidents will increase," said Sadimin.
For bridge infrastructure, the government handled the repair of the Doro O'o Bridge in Bima Regency which was damaged by flooding in 2023. The damage got worse because of sedimentation which caused water to overflow into settlements and rice fields. The bridge worth Rp. 6.2 billion has now reached a progress of 35.61 percent.
