JAKARTA - The MilkLife Archery Challenge 2025 Series 2 was successfully held at the SuperSoccer Arena in Kudus, Central Java, from November 12-15. A total of 863 young archery athletes participated, showcasing their potential.
The total number of participants in this second series came from 25 Islamic Elementary Schools (MI), 151 Elementary Schools (SD), 12 Islamic Junior High Schools (MTs), and 47 Junior High Schools (SMP) from various regions in Central Java, East Java, and the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
This second series featured four categories: National KU 12, National KU 10, PVC KU 12, and PVC KU 10, for both boys and girls. An additional category was added: National (standard bow) KU 15 for boys and girls.
At the 2025 MilkLife Archery Challenge, MI NU Banat Kudus successfully won the Overall Champion title with a total of 6 medals each in the individual (1 gold and 1 bronze) and team (1 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze) categories.
The 2025 MilkLife Archery Challenge Series 2 also featured a team format, championing the school's reputation. Surakarta's Special Sports Junior High School (SKO) dominated the team podium in both the Boys' and Girls' KU 15 National Divisions.
Yoppy Rosimin, Program Director of Bakti Olahraga Djarum Foundation, revealed that the second series saw a significant increase in the number of participants.
The number of participants jumped by more than 50 percent compared to the first series in Kudus, which saw 428 archers participate. This increase is clear evidence that the interest and enthusiasm of young archers in Indonesia continues to grow and develop positively.
Therefore, the continued implementation of the MilkLife Archery Challenge demonstrates a concrete commitment to strengthening the national archery ecosystem, from developing young athletes, improving the quality of competitions, to creating space for talented individuals to grow.
"This increase in the number of participants is excellent, exceeding expectations by more than 800. Beyond quantity, we also want to maintain quality. We want to make this event not just a competitive stage, but also an important platform for the long process of regenerating national archery athletes," said Yoppy in an official statement quoted on Sunday, November 16.
He also emphasized that this tournament provides broad opportunities for athletes from various backgrounds to participate.
"With an open system and consistent coaching, archery can grow, become popular, and become a popular sport among young people," Yoppy added.
