One Goal, Two Shots, Three Opportunities: Estevoo Statistics That Make Ancelotti Not Blink

JAKARTA - Brazil's national team coach Carlo Ancelotti said he was surprised by the quality of the Samba Team's young winger, Estevoo, who is only 18 years old.

"Shocking when I see a young player with talent like himself. He is very precise and sharp. Together, the future of Brazilian football is bright," said Ancelotti, quoted from the official website of the Brazilian Football Federation (CBF), Sunday, November 16.

Estevoo appeared for 83 minutes and scored one goal as Brazil won 2-0 over Senegal in a friendly at the Emirates Stadium, London, last Saturday. The goal made his collection four out of 10 appearances since making his debut in July 2024.

Ancelotti assessed that Estevoo appeared solid with right-back Eder Militao. Both are said to have consistently pressed Senegal's defense throughout the match.

I think the duet between Militao and Estevoo is working very well. Militao is now in good physical and mental condition," said the Italian coach.

Based on data from the Fotmob football statistic page, Estevoo scored one goal from two shots and created three dangerous chances for Senegal's goal. The young Chelsea player continues to show significant progress with the national team.

Another Brazil goal was scored by Casemiro in the 35th minute. After facing Senegal, Brazil is scheduled to meet Tunisia in the early hours of Wednesday (19/11) WIB, which will be their last international friendly match in 2025.
