Babel Police Raid Warehouse, Seize 42 Tons Of Illegal Subsidy Fuel In Bangka

PANGKALPINANG - Ditreskrimsus Polda Bangka Belitung raided a subsidized fuel hoarding warehouse (BBM) without valid documents in Bangka Regency, as a police commitment to eradicate the misuse of subsidized fuel in the area.

"In the raid on this illegal hoarding warehouse, we managed to secure 42 tons of subsidized fuel," said Head of Public Relations of the Babel Police, Kombes Pol Fauzan Sukmawansyah, quoted by Antara Pangkalpinang, Sunday, November 16.

He said the raid on a subsidized fuel hoarding warehouse without documents in Bukit Bangkadir Hamlet, Riding Panjang Village, Belinyu District, Bangka Regency on Saturday (15/11) in the early hours of the morning, the police managed to confiscate tens of thousands of liters of subsidized fuel and without valid documents including several cars belonging to PT. Bangka Perkasa Energy.

"Yes, there the team managed to secure approximately 42,000 liters or 42 tons of fuel, including several tank cars and trucks that have been modified to accommodate the fuel," he said.

He stated that apart from tens of thousands of liters of Subsidized Fuel without valid documents, the Ditreskrimsus Indagsi Team also secured five people in the warehouse.

The five people, namely DN alias Decka as Director, AA alias Abi as Commissioner, BS and IP as drivers who brought trucks and AW as car assistants.

"The five of them were secured there (the warehouse) including several equipment, such as hoses, machines, drums to tedmons containing subsidized fuel without valid documents," he said.

He said this case was uncovered after the Indagsi Sub-Directorate Team found reports from the public regarding the illegal activity.

After an investigation was carried out, the team immediately carried out raids on the warehouse for hoarding subsidized fuel to secure the suspects and evidence.

"Information obtained from these perpetrators, this fuel comes from South Sumatra which is transported using 2 modified trucks to the warehouse. While the others are from places on Bangka Island," he said.
