Police Arrest 2 Drug Dealers In Gowa, Sell 1 Kg Of Shabu Rp680 Million
The South Sulawesi (Sulsel) Regional Police revealed a network of narcotics trafficking syndicates with two perpetrators and evidence of 1 kilogram (kg) of methamphetamine type secured in Somba Opu District, Gowa Regency.
"From the development, the team found a man with the exact characteristics with the information received and immediately arrested," said Director of the Narcotics Directorate of the South Sulawesi Police, Kombes Pol Eka Faturahman, to reporters in Makassar, Saturday, as reported by Antara.
The male perpetrator with the initials MZA (28) was initially monitored in the area of Jalan Metro Tanjung Bunga, Tamalate District, Makassar City. After it was confirmed that the person was immediately arrested by Unit 2 Team, Sub-Directorate 3 of the Narcotics Directorate of the South Sulawesi Police without a fight.
From the initial interrogation, the perpetrator cooperatively showed the place of the prohibited items was stored. The team and the perpetrator headed to his house in Paccinongan Village, Somba Opu District, Gowa.
"This MZA admitted that the place where the suspected methamphetamine was stored was on the second floor of his house. After being examined, one kilogram of crystal methamphetamine (evidence) was found in a package of Chinese tea plastic," he said.

The perpetrator's confession was that the item was obtained from a woman with the initials SA with an agreement to sell it for Rp. 680 million per kilogram. Furthermore, development and arresting the woman in question was carried out.
Meanwhile, Head of Sub-Directorate III of the Narcotics Directorate of the South Sulawesi Police, AKBP Rafles P Girsang, said that after MZA was arrested, he sang that he was asked to sell the drugs by the perpetrators of SA.
This disclosure was made after the development of the suspect's initials A alias Ari was previously arrested by the Satnarkoba officers and is now being held at the Makassar Polrestabes cell.
"Before being arrested, Ari, he had long stored the item in his girlfriend SA. Then SA then asked MZA to sell the item," he said.
Therefore, his party continues to investigate in order to uncover a larger network, because, it is strongly suspected that these perpetrators are involved in an international drug trafficking network. "Where did this item come from, we are still investigating," he said.
The two perpetrators have now been arrested by police officers to account for their actions. They are subject to Article 114 paragraph 1 of Law number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. The threat of life imprisonment and or imprisonment is a minimum of five years
