KPK Secures Jeep Rubicon And BMW Related To Ponorogo Regency Government Bribery Case
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) secured two luxury cars, Jeep Rubicon and BMW, during a search of cases of suspected bribery and other receipts or gratuities within the Ponorogo Regency Government.
KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo revealed that the two luxury cars were secured from the house of the suspect, Director of RSUD Dr. Harjono Ponorogo Yunus Mahatma (YUM).
"In addition, from YUM's brother's house, investigators also secured a number of other movable assets, including a number of luxury watches and 24 bicycles," Budi told reporters in Jakarta, Saturday.
He said the search was carried out during four marathon days, from Tuesday (11/11) to Friday (14/11).
In addition to YUM's house, the investigative team conducted searches in a number of other locations, including the Public Works Office (PU), Ponorogo Hospital, regent's official residence, regional secretary's official residence, the private house of the suspect Ponorogo Regent Sugiri Sancoko (SUG), Sucipto's (SC) house as a private party or partner of the Ponorogo Hospital, as well as a number of other locations.
In the series of searches, investigators also secured and confiscated several documents and electronic evidence related to the case, such as budgeting documents and projects.
Furthermore, Budi said investigators would extract and study every confiscated documents and evidence to support the investigation process.
"Including the confiscation of these assets, apart from the evidentiary process, it is also the first step in asset recovery," he added.
On November 9, 2025, the KPK announced that it had named four people as suspects in the alleged bribery case for the management of positions, work projects at Dr. Harjono Ponorogo Regional General Hospital, and other receipts or gratuities within the Ponorogo Regency Government. The determination of the suspect was carried out after an OTT was held in the Ponorogo area.
The four suspects are Ponorogo Regent Sugiri Sancoko (SUG), Director of RSUD Dr. Harjono Ponorogo Yunus Mahatma (YUM), Regional Secretary of Ponorogo Agus Pramono (AGP), and Sucipto (SC) as a private party or partner of the Ponorogo Hospital.
In the alleged bribery cluster for the management of positions, the recipient of the bribe was Sugiri Sancoko and Agus Pramono. Meanwhile, the bribe giver was Yunus Mahatma.
