King Abdullah II Yakin Prabowo Bawa Indonesia Ke Arah Yang Sangat Baik

JAKARTA - The King of the Kingdom of Jordan Hasyimiah Raja Abdullah II, ibn Al Hussein, assessed that President Prabowo Subianto brought Indonesia in a very good direction, with the strength, courage, and leadership of the Head of State.

"I know Indonesia will go in a very good direction with your strength, your courage, and your leadership," said King Abdullah II at a bilateral meeting between the two leaders at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Friday, November 14.

King Abdullah II said he saw President Prabowo's determination in an effort to improve the lives of the Indonesian people.

He assessed that the various programs run by President Prabowo were aimed at reaching groups in need, and linking this to the President's experience during his tenure as a soldier.

"Many of the programs you plant are to reach those in need, and I think this comes from times when we were still soldiers. You take care of the youth and you take care of their families," said King Abdullah II.

King Abdullah II also expressed his pride and respect for his meeting with President Prabowo, whom he considered an old friend.

During the meeting, he saw an opportunity to strengthen relations between Indonesia and Jordan through discussions held during the visit.

"I know that in the discussions we did tonight and tomorrow, there are many new opportunities to strengthen the bond between Indonesia and Jordan and it will work out because of your kindness, your insight, and your leadership. So I'm really proud to come back here and see my brother in this position," he said.

Meanwhile, President Prabowo said he had an emotional bond with Jordan. Prabowo said he had a special bond with Jordan when more than 20 years ago he was warmly accepted by the late King Hussein bin Talal.

"I always remember my time in Jordan with great love. Therefore, it is great for me to host you here in Indonesia," said the President.

Prabowo also said Indonesia could be the "second home" for King Abdullah II. "Think of Indonesia as your second home, and Indonesia has great respect for Jordan for years," Prabowo said.
