Wela Arista Aspri Lawyer Hotman Paris Doesn't Respond To KPK's Call Regarding The BI-OJK CSR Corruption Case
JAKARTA - Wela Arista, a personal assistant or aspri, lawyer Hotman Paris did not fulfill the summons of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) today.
He should have been investigated for alleged corruption in the social program or CSR Bank Indonesia (BI) and the Financial Services Authority (OJK) which ensnared two legislators, Heri Gunawan and Satori.
"Until now, the person concerned has not been present," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters in a written statement, Friday, November 14.
Budi has not explained the reason for the absence. "There is no confirmation received by investigators," he asserted.
Apart from Wela, investigators also summoned six witnesses in this case. They are Siti Aisyah and Oman as private, Wani Widjaja and notary / PPAT Widodo Budidarmo, entrepreneur named Eman Fathurohma, and student named Tia Mutia.
"KPK has scheduled the examination of related witnesses in alleged corruption related to social programs or CSR at Bank Indonesia and OJK," said Budi.
Previously reported, the KPK officially announced the legislators of the DPR from the NasDem Satori Party faction and Heri Gunawan as legislators of the DPR from the Gerindra Party faction as suspects in the alleged corruption of BI-OJK CSR funds. Both are suspected of receiving gratuities and committing money laundering (TPPU).
Satori is suspected of receiving a total of IDR 12.52 billion in this case. The details are IDR 6.30 billion from BI; IDR 5.14 billion from OJK through Financial Counseling activities; and IDR 1.04 billion from other working partners of Commission XI of the DPR.
The money is allegedly used for personal needs, such as deposits, land purchases, showroom construction, purchases of two-wheeled vehicles, and purchases of other assets.
Meanwhile, Heri Gunawan received a total of Rp15.86 billion and used it also for personal gain. The details are Rp6.26 billion from BI; Rp7.64 billion from OJK through Financial Counseling activities; and Rp1.94 billion from other working partners of Commission XI DPR.
The money is called the KPK which is accommodated in an account. Heri Gunawan then used it to build restaurants, manage drink outlets, purchase land and buildings to four-wheeled vehicles.
