Menkop Gandeg Apdesi For Active And Synchronization Of Data Accelerate Physical Development Of The Red And White Kopdes

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Cooperatives (Kemenkop) together with the All-Indonesian Village Government Association (Apdesi) Merah Putih agreed to encourage the involvement of village officials, as well as contribute to the construction of the Red and White Village Cooperative (Kopdes/Kel) through the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The MoU was carried out in relation to the Synergy of the Institutional Strengthening and Economic Empowerment Program for Cooperatives in Villages.

"It is important to synchronize data and understanding between village officials and local governments, especially those who are members of the Red and White Apdesi in accelerating the inventory of the physical development land of the Red and White Kopdes," said Cooperative Minister (Menkop) Ferry Juliantono, Friday, November 14.

Ferry said that until now, around 22,500 soil points have been successfully inventoried, and 15,000 more points are in the preparation stage. He said he was optimistic that in November he could build around 20,000 physical units of the Red and White Kopdes.

"Thankfully it can be more, even up to 30,000 to 40,000 ground inventory points," he said.

He also ensured that by March 2026, as many as 80,000 physical units of the Red and White Kopdes had been built and operational. On the other hand, he continued, Kemenkop was responsible for inventory 1,000 land points per day. The Coordinating Minister also ensured that in physical development in the field, the contribution of village officials including Village Heads and Regional Governments was always involved.

"We hope that the Red and White Kopdes will become a tool of struggle and instrument for the Regional Government and the Red and White Apdesi to develop the village, so that rural communities can progress further," he hoped.

Similarly, Deputy Minister of Cooperatives (Wamenkop) Farida Farichah emphasized that there are two important points in collaboration with Apdesi Merah Putih.

First, related to increasing the participation of the village and sub-district communities as members of the Kopdes. Apdesi Merah Putih's involvement is considered very important not only in physical development, but also in the participation of cooperative members.

Currently, Simkopdes data has recorded around 1,250,000 members spread across 82 cooperatives, with an average of under 20 members per village. In fact, there are villages that have reached 100 percent membership.

"Although there has been a significant achievement, there is still a need for more intensive encouragement and collaboration with the Red and White Apdesi to expand the participation of the village community in cooperatives," said the Deputy Minister of Cooperatives.

Second, the institutionality of the Red and White Kopdes is very meaningful, also supported by precise and accurate data. "Village heads, who understand the condition of the community the most, are expected to be encouraged to comprehensively complete their respective village data collection through Simkopdes to support the modernization of village cooperatives," he said.
