Due To This Problem, Honda Recalls CB1000 Hornet SP

JAKARTA - The Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has withdrawn or recalled its premium model, the CB1000 Hornet SP, due to problems with the heating disposal system.

According to a report from Rushlane, quoted on Friday, November 14, according to Honda, excessive radiation heat from the disposal system could soften the surface of the painted seat, which could indirectly cause the pedal bolts of the gear displacement to relax over time and potentially be released.

Worse, if this happens, motorists can experience difficulties or inability to change teeth, potentially causing safety problems, especially when driving at high speeds or in urban areas.

Responding to the above problem, Honda will check and replace the affected components for free, regardless of the motorcycle warranty status. This recall will be made exclusively at Honda BigWing Topline dealers throughout India starting January 2026.

Honda stated that this proactive move strengthens brand focus on customer trust, safety and ownership experience.

Honda and BigWing dealers will contact customers by phone, email, in addition, owners can check their VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) on Honda's official website. To avoid delays in dealers, Honda advises customers to order service services first.

The motorbike officially arrived in India in the middle of this year, and is equipped with a four-cylinder engine with a 999cc line that produces 155 hp and 107 Nm torque.
