IKJ To Host The 2025 National Student Art And Literature Contest
JAKARTA - The Jakarta Arts Institute (IKJ) was appointed to host the 2025 National Student Art and Certificate Festival (FLS3N), an annual competition that brings together talented students from all over Indonesia in the arts and literature sectors.
The Chief Executive of FLS3N 2025 at IKJ, Arly Yanatri Zainsty, said that this year's implementation is an important momentum for the art campus to strengthen the role in the development of the talent of the younger generation.
"FLS3N is a prestigious program from the Indonesian Ministry of Elementary and Secondary Education through the National Achievement Center (Puspresnas). The implementation of FLS3N activities in Jakarta is an honor and pride for IKJ, as well as a form of support for 500 years for Jakarta as a Global City," Arly said in his statement, Friday, November 14.
Arly explained that the opening of the FLS3N will be held on November 18 and the plan is to be attended by the Minister of Basic and Secondary Education of the Republic of Indonesia, Abdul Mu'ti. FLS3N lasts for a week, starting November 17, 2025, with the theme Seaven Expression, Country Inspiration'. The theme illustrates the space for students to express themselves as well as hone their skills in the arts and literature.
This year, FLS3N was attended by around 855 participants from SMA and equivalent, representing 38 provinces and a number of Indonesian schools abroad. The participants had previously gone through tiered selection, ranging from school to provincial levels.
"Participants can participate in 15 competition categories. Each of them is, read poetry, create songs, create poetry, design posters, photography, guitar solo instruments, sing solo, journalistic, craft, digital comics, write short stories, monologists, dance creations, short films, and traditional music creativity," said Arly.
He added that the diversity of these categories allowed participants to display broader art explorations, ranging from visual works, performances, to written works.
As the host, IKJ opens a space for interaction between participants and the art academic environment in Jakarta. Arly said that the implementation of FLS3N on campus is an opportunity to see the potential of the younger generation who will be able to continue their artistic education professionally.
"As an art college, IKJ already has good experience and reputation in producing art artists and professionals who are involved in cultural, social, and industrial activities," he said.
He also mentioned the position of IKJ in the international ranking for the arts and design and role of the campus in the dynamics of urban arts in Jakarta.
At this year's event, Puspresnas prepared scholarships for FLS3N winners to continue their studies at IKJ according to the branch of the competition they chose.
