DKI Provincial Government Ensures No Rejection Of Baduy Patients At Jakarta Health Facilities
JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) guarantees health services in all health facilities in the capital, including hospitals, do not discriminate against patients.
Head of the DKI Jakarta Health Service Ani Ruspitawati delivered the statement in response to the alleged rejection of a patient from Baduy named Repan (16), a victim of robbery in the Jalan Pramuka Raya area, Central Jakarta.
In his statement in Jakarta, Friday, he said that after verification and coordination with a number of health service facilities in the Cempaka Putih and Pulogadung areas, the DKI Jakarta Health Office ensured that the alleged rejection was not proven.
"After we carried out field verification and coordinated directly with the hospital, the results showed that the rejection claim was not true," said Ani, Friday, November 14.
According to him, the DKI Health Office has coordinated with several hospitals, including the Cempaka Putih Jakarta Islamic Hospital (RSIJ), Yarsi Hospital, Rokak Hospital, Evasari Hospital, and Cempaka Putih Hospital.
Based on the examination of administrative records and confirmation results with management, no patient data was found with the identity as reported.
He said the management of RSIJ Cempaka Putih had also submitted an official statement that they had never treated patients on behalf of Repan who were registered to receive services.

Furthermore, Ani said the search results showed that the patient in question had received initial treatment at St. Hospital Carolus and then received further services at Ukrida Hospital, West Jakarta.
"The allegation of refusal arose because after the initial treatment of the wound, the patient was directed to report to the police for post-mortem purposes. This procedure is part of standard management in cases of alleged violence so that medical documentation can be used as evidence in the legal process," explained Ani.
The DKI Health Office also received surveillance camera (CCTV) footage showing the provision of medical services to patients. The visual evidence describes the services provided.
In cases of alleged violence, the flow of medical services is carried out by stabilizing the patient's condition, recording and documenting complete injuries, and coordinating with the police if needed for the post-mortem process.
Ani emphasized that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is committed to ensuring that all citizens have access to health services that are fair, safe, and dignified.
"We ensure that all health facilities in Jakarta are open to anyone. If there are allegations of violations, we will follow up quickly and transparently," said Ani.
