Wuling Darion Twins Launch In China At Cheaper Prices And Various Machines
JAKARTA Wuling through SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) officially launched the latest medium-sized MPV, Wuling Xingguang 730. This is one of the most affordable models in the Chinese market with a wide selection of driving systems.
In Indonesia, this model is known as Cortez Darion and is sold at a price of IDR 356 million for the EV variant, while the two-heart driving version aka PHEV is priced at IDR 439 million. This price is the first early bird for 1,500 buyers.
Launching from Carnewschina, Friday, November 14, in its home country this model is in four configurations, consisting of two variants of gasoline engines, one plug-in hybrid (PHEV), and one pure electric version (BEV). For the 1.5T gasoline variant with 6-speed manual transmission, it is priced starting at 73,000 yuan or around Rp. 171 million.
Meanwhile, the 1.5T CVT variant is sold for 83,800 yuan, equivalent to Rp. 196 million. The plug-in hybrid version is pegged at 103,800 yuan or around Rp. 243 million, and the pure electricity variant is at 109,800 yuan or around Rp. 257 million. All prices based on today's exchange rate are Rp. 2,347 per yuan.

In terms of dimensionality, Xingguang 730 has a length of 4,910 mm, a width of 1,850 mm, a height of 1,770 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,910 mm. The exterior display uses Wuling's new design, with a large black grille mesh, a sleek headlights, and a sliding door with the rail hidden below the window line.
Entering the interior, this MPV is equipped with a 12.8-inch floating center screen, a digital instrument panel, and a number of modes of use. The cabinet uses a seven-seat configuration, where the second row seats are equipped with double-hand support and can be arranged in various positions.
The first row seats can be reduced to almost flat positions. The baggage capacity reaches 315 liters when the third row seats stand, and can be expanded to 1,202 liters thanks to flexible folding mechanisms.
For the driving option, the plug-in hybrid version uses a 1.5L engine combined with a fourth generation electric motor. Fuel consumption is at 5.3 liters per 100 km when the battery runs out, with a pure electric distance of 125 km and a total range of up to 1,100 km.
The pure electric variant is equipped with a 100 kW motorbike with a 60 kWh battery, offering a distance of up to 500 km. The 2C fast charging allows enough power to cover 200 km in just 15 minutes.
While the 1.5T gasoline variant produces 130 kW and is available in both manual and CVT transmission options. With a combination of affordable prices, a wide cabin, and a complete choice of driving system, Xingguang 730 is aimed at family consumers in China who want functional vehicles without high operational costs.
