Fuso Still Focuses On Domestic Market, Export Opportunities Remain Open

JAKARTA - PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB) is still focused on serving the domestic market and has not exported until this July.

This refers to data from the Association of Indonesian Automotive Industries (Gaikindo), Fuso's production figures were recorded at 20,869 units in January-October 2025, and there were no export figures.

Sales and Marketing Director of PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB), Aji Jaya, revealed that currently he is still focused on meeting domestic needs first.

"We are serving the domestic market, we are still overwhelmed, and we are still focusing on the domestic market first," he said, when met recently.

However, along with market growth, it is possible to explore opportunities in the export market in the future.

"Actually, in 2024 it has exported to Fiji in the Oceania area, but it is only for trials," he added.

Two years ago, the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) asked Fuso to explore the export market, especially to the ASEAN and Australian markets. The Ministry of Industry assesses that Fuso's exports to Australia will be more profitable if it is made from Indonesian factories than from Japan.

So, although still focused on the local Fuso market, it does not rule out the possibility of exporting commercial vehicles in the future.
