The 'Tuyul' Gang Of Money And Gold Thieves In Parimo Was Arrested By The Police
The Parigi Moutong Police, Central Sulawesi, arrested three suspects of theft of cash and gold jewelry in action in the Torue District and Balinggi District.
Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Parigi Moutong Police, Iptu Agus Salim, said that the disclosure of this case began with public reports about theft in two different locations, namely Tolai Village, Torue District, and Suli Village, Balinggi District.
"Within seven days, the Satreskrim Opsnal team managed to arrest the perpetrators in the Pasangkayu area, West Sulawesi," he said.
The three suspects who were arrested each had the initials ER (40), a resident of Parede Hamlet, Bambalotmu, Pasangkayu Regency, MU (33), a resident of Sausu Tambu Village, Sausu District, and SI (35), a resident of Malakosa Village, Balinggi District, Parigi Moutong Regency.
From the hands of the perpetrators, the police confiscated a number of evidences in the form of a gold ring, a gold bracelet, a gold necklace, a gold necklace with a cross toy, and Rp9,745,000 in cash.
The perpetrators are known to target the empty house (rumsong) left by the owner to work. They enter by climbing the back wall, prying the window, then dismantling the cupboard and taking cash and gold jewelry," he said.
He said that as a result of this act, the victim suffered material losses which were estimated at Rp408 million. The suspects are now being detained at the Parigi Moutong Police Headquarters to undergo further legal proceedings.
For their actions, the perpetrators were charged with Article 363 Paragraph (1) of the 5e Criminal Code Subsidiary Article 362 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 65 of the Criminal Code concerning criminal acts of theft with weights, with a maximum penalty of seven years in prison.
