4 Jambi Vocational High School DAK Corruption Suspects Detained, State Loses IDR 21.8 Billion

JAMBI - The Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Jambi High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) has officially detained four suspects in the corruption of the SMK Special Allocation Fund (DAK) at the Jambi Provincial Education Office for the 2021-2022 fiscal year which cost the state Rp21.8 billion.

Head of the Jambi Attorney General's Office, Noly Wijaya, said that starting tonight the four suspects who were transferred their case files by Jambi Police Corruption investigators, will officially become prosecutors' detainees for the next twenty days for the transfer of their cases to the Jambi Corruption Court.

Suspects ZH, RWS, and WS were detained at the Jambi Class II A Prison for 20 days from November 12, 2025 to December 1, 2025. Meanwhile, the suspect ES was detained at the Jambi Class II B Prison for 20 days from November 12, 2025 to December 1, 2025.

"Today, the prosecutor has received the case files of the four suspects and the prosecutor's office through the Jambi Kejari has received phase II of the Corruption Eradication Commission at the Jambi Provincial Education Office for 2021-2022," Noly said as quoted by Antara, Thursday, November 13.

The four suspects handed over were ZH, S.Kom as Commitment Making Officer (PPK), RWS als R Bin S as Broker, H. WS Bin UD as the Owner and Commissioner of PT. ILP, and ES Binti H. AK as the director of PT Tahta Djau Internasional.

In his case file, suspect ZH is suspected of violating Article 2 paragraph (1) of Law no. 31 of 1999 concerning the eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption Jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.

The suspects RWS, WS and ES are all suspected of violating Article 2 paragraph (1) of Law no. 31 of 1999 concerning the eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption Crimes Jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.

In that case, the modus operandi of the corruption crime is that the suspect ZH, S.Kom as the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) has agreed to arrange the work package for the procurement of the main practice equipment (SMK Physical DAK) TA. 2022 is by means of the suspect DH and the suspect RW brings/introducing a prospective provider to suspect ZH, then ZH makes an order/purchase of goods from the provider through E-Chatalog.

The actions of the suspects resulted in state losses based on the Report on the Results of Investigative Examination in the Context of Calculating State Losses from BPK RI, for the Main Practice Equipment Procurement Work (Public School) for Fiscal Year 2022 at the Jambi Provincial Education Office, amounting to Rp. 21,892,252,403.92.

The Jambi District Attorney's Office will immediately hand over the Case Files to the four suspects to the Corruption Court at the Jambi District Court. The Jambi District Attorney's Office continues to be committed to eradicating Corruption in the Jambi area.
