Kumamoto Masters 2025: List 4 Indonesian Representatives To The Second Round

JAKARTA Four of the five Indonesian representatives who took part in the 2025 Japanese Kumamoto Masters managed to move their journey to the second round.

The series of matches from the first round of the BWF Super 500 level tournament were completed on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Indonesia managed to get three additional tickets.

The first representative to make sure he qualified on the second day of the tournament was Ni Kadek Dhinda Amartya Pratiwi, who made his debut at the BWF Super 500 level tournament.

The badminton player from Bali managed to beat sixth seed from Thailand, Busanan Ongbamrungphan, with the final score 21-15, 13-21, and 23-21.

In the second half, Thursday, November 13, 2025, Ni Kadek Dhinda will meet Asuka Takahashi. The deputy host secured the second round ticket after beating Pai Yu Po from China Taipei.

Following that was Gregoria Mariska Tunjung. The bronze medalist at the 2024 Paris Olympics came from behind to stop Hung Yi-Ting from China Taipei with a score of 17-21, 21-9, and 21-18.

Gregoria, who is the fourth seed in the tournament, will then meet the host's representative as well, namely Hina Akechi.

Alwi Farhan then followed the women's second steps. The 2023 junior world champion defeated the host representative Takuma Obayashi to meet Wang Tzu Wei (China Taipei).

Previously, on the first day, Monday, November 10, 2025, Indonesia had received one ticket through the women's doubles Apriyani Rahayu/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti.

The second round of the Kumamoto Masters 2025 match will take place on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 09.00 Japanese time or 07.00 WIB.
