Collaboration With Fender, Johnny Marr Introduces Limited Edition Guitar
JAKARTA - Johnny Marr, a British guitarist known as the founder with The Smiths, collaborated with Fender to produce limited edition guitars.
The new instrument is the Fender Limited-Edition Johnny Marr Signature Special Jaguar, which appears with the final touch of the black mind-spinning gangelose.
This special edition guitar is the result of the latest collaboration between the indie rock icon and the US guitar manufacturer, bringing a number of custom features designed in detail.
Jaguar Special is armed with a single-coil lipstick pickup Kent Armstrong Johnny Marr made custom-wound, Jaguar bridge with a Mustang saddle, and improved with a vintage 'floating tremolo' detailpiece.
The cable scheme personalized by Marr himself is also embedded to guarantee a distinctive and unique character of the tone.
In the neck (neck), the custom design is inspired directly from Marr's original Jaguar model which was produced in 1965. The neck is equipped with rosewood fingerboard with 22 vintage-style frits and ivory spot inlay.
The whole combination aims to combine the classic feel of its old instrument with excellent performance on a modern stage.

Through this collaboration, Marr himself acknowledged how central the role of Fender Jaguar in his career was.
"Jaguar has been the center of my voice and style for almost 15 years," said Marr, quoted by NME, Wednesday, November 12.
"With this new model, I want to create instruments that feel classical but also encourage players to explore new tones and possibilities. Fender is once again realizing that vision in a way that I don't think might happen until now," he continued.
The 62-year-old guitarist also explained how Jaguar had helped him penetrate the genre boundaries.
"From my work with The Cribs which played loud indie music and in-your-face, to the cinematic sound landscape that I created with Hans Goodman, Jaguar has become an extraordinary asset in helping me expand my voice, no matter what genre or opportunity," he said.
The launch of this signature model is not the first time for the musician. In 2012, Marr had released his first Jaguar signature guitar with Fender, designed by the company's Custom Shop to reflect on his 1965 model.
The first model was even listed as one of Fender's best-selling signature models.
For information, this new limited edition guitar is priced at US $ 2,999 or equivalent to Rp. 50.2 million.
