Phone 18 Pro Will Be Designated More Uniformly, Eliminate Two Color Effects On The Back

JAKARTA - The iPhone 18 Pro model which will be released in 2026 is rumored to be appearing with a more uniform back, without the two color effect seen on the iPhone 17 Pro.

This news comes from the Digital Instant leaker on the Weibo platform, which states that Apple will change the process of working on the rear glass of the device to make it appear more integrated with the surrounding aluminum material.

On the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, Apple introduced a new design with aluminum frames and glass pieces on the back. Although the color of the two materials is quite harmonious, there is still a clear visual difference between glass and metal.

Through the new process, Apple is said to be trying to eliminate the color difference and reflection of light between the two materials, resulting in a smoother and more unified appearance, similar to the design of the previous iPhone generation.

In addition to material changes, Instant Digital also previously reported that Apple was testing three color variants for the iPhone 18 Pro, namely coffee (old chocolate), purple, and burgundy (downstream red).

Interestingly, another rumor from last September said that Apple might try a semi-transparent rearview on the iPhone 18 Pro model even though this claim is considered less convincing.

Digital Instants have a fairly accurate track record in leaking information about iPhones, including predictions regarding Camera Control features, opaque glasses on the iPhone 15, as well as iPhone 14 yellow variants.

However, it should be noted that leakers on Weibo often redistribute rumors from other sources without independently verifying, so this news cannot be fully confirmed.
