Life Of Pi Actor Irrfan Khan Dies

JAKARTA - The Indian film industry is in sorrow. Famous actor Irrfan Khan passed away on Wednesday, April 29 as a result of suffering from a colon infection. He died at the age of 53.

In 2018, Irrfan was diagnosed with a neuendrokin tumor and underwent treatment in London. After recovering, he continued shooting the film Angrezi Medium which was his last film. However, the release of the film had to be postponed due to the spread of the corona virus which began in March. According to Variety, on Tuesday, April 28, he was taken to the emergency department at Kokilaben Hospital, Mumbai due to the infection.

During his lifetime, Irrfan Khan became an actor who brought the name India to international recognition. Debuting in 1988 with the film Salaam Bombay, during which time he began mastering a number of television series in India.

Her acting has won praise in Indian films such as Maqbool and Haasil. He also won the Best Actor title in India's National Award for his role as soldier named Paan Singh Tomar in Paan Singh Tomar.
