Commission V Of The House Of Representatives Asks The Government To Finalize Christmas And New Year 2026 Preparations

JAKARTA Member of Commission V DPR Syafiuddin Asmoro, asked the government to make thorough preparations ahead of the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year (Nataru) holidays. He hopes, with careful planning, the public can enjoy the holiday period safely, comfortably, and smoothly.

According to Syafyuddin, the flow of community mobility at this momentum always increases sharply, so it needs to be anticipated comprehensively, especially in the transportation sector and road infrastructure.

"The government must ensure that all modes of public transportation are ready to serve a surge in passengers. Do not let there be a density or operational disruption due to a lack of readiness," said Syafidin, Wednesday, November 12.

In addition, he assessed the importance of checking details on all roads, both on toll roads and non-toll roads. He reminded that damaged roads must be repaired immediately.

"The safety and comfort of the community during the trip is a top priority," said the PKB legislator.

Syafyuddin also reminded that cross-sectoral coordination between the Ministry of Transportation, the Ministry of Public Works, the National Police, and local governments should be further improved. According to him, integrated supervision of the field and traffic flow management must be carried out.
