BI Affirms Local Government Fund Reports Based On BPD Input Data
JAKARTA - Bank Indonesia (BI) Governor Perry Warjiyo reiterated that all data related to funds deposited local governments in banks, which previously caused a polemic between the central and regional governments, came entirely from reports from Regional Development Banks (BPD).
He explained that local government cash data that is only stored in banks and has not been used is what is conveyed directly to the government, especially the Ministry of Finance.
"We received data on local government accounts at BPD and that's what we conveyed, and that's the same as local government data, the money from local governments at BPDitu reports to us and we also convey it to the Ministry of Finance," he said during a working meeting with Commission XI DPR, Wednesday, November 12.

Previously, the polemic regarding the difference in data on funds deposited local governments recorded in Bank Indonesia and those recorded in their respective regional treasury began to find a bright spot. This follows the explanation of the Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian regarding the source of the problem that caused the discrepancy of the data.
This issue previously made West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi, visited Bank Indonesia to BPK, and caused a debate with the Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadive. It turned out that the cause came from a data input error by the Regional Development Bank (BPD) and a difference in recording time.
"The regional bank inputted it wrong," said Tito at the Jakarta International Convention Center, Friday, October 31.
