Pelindo Immediately Implements The Standardization Of Manado Port Passengers

JAKARTA - Pelindo Regional 4 Manado, North Sulawesi, will implement a policy of sterilizing and standardizing passenger terminal services at Manado Port which will take effect from December 1, 2025.

"Starting December 1, 2025, trading activities in the dock area and on board the ship must follow the provisions that apply nationally," said GM Pelindo Manado, Nurlayla Arbie, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, November 11.

He said his company ensured that every community need would be served optimally in accordance with applicable regulations, including the matter of picking up goods.

"Currently, direct counters for pick-up packages are being prepared at Manado Port," he said.

Starting in December, passengers are required to enter through the passenger terminal. Only ship ticket owners are allowed to reach the dock and ship, while delivery or visitors can no longer enter the area, only arriving at the designated area," he said, explaining.

"We want the port atmosphere to be more orderly and professional. Traders can still sell, but in places that have been arranged so as not to interfere with the flow of passengers and ship operations," he said.

To support the implementation of the policy, he said Pelindo Manado would also start introducing the autogate system at the port entrance.

We will also install metal detectors at several points. This is part of the commitment to maintain security and mutual comfort," said Nurlayla.
