Inaugurating 23 New Investigators And Investigators, KPK Chair: We Must Improve Ability

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Setyo Budiyanto said the current mode of corruption is increasingly sophisticated and the perpetrators are not directly involved. Thus, the ability of anti-corruption commission personnel must continue to be honed and develop.

This was conveyed by Setyo when taking the oath of 10 new investigators and 13 new investigators who were ready to strengthen the Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta on Monday, November 10. This event was also attended by structural officials and other KPK employees.

"In the past (corruption, red) was carried out face to face, now it is different. So, our ability must continue to be improved so that the case file is mature and prosecution is carried out optimally," Setyo said as quoted from the institution's official statement, Wednesday, November 12.

Furthermore, Setyo also conveyed a special message for 23 investigators and investigators who had just been inaugurated. "You are not only tasked with revealing facts, but maintaining the dignity of law, justice, and institutional integrity in the midst of increasingly complex challenges," said the former Director of KPK Investigation.

Setyo reminded the new investigators and investigators to work optimally. Because, it is not easy for them to be in the position now.

The KPK hopes that with this addition of personnel, the work of prosecuting corruption will be sharper, more professional, and just.

The process of being an investigator and an investigator is not easy. I hope that KPK personnel can carry out their duties with a passion and full commitment to eradicating corruption," concluded Setyo.
