Police Wait For BPKP Audit Regarding Determination Of Corruption Suspect In NTB Education And Culture
JAKARTA - The West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police stated that the results of an audit by the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) regarding the corruption case in the procurement of furniture at the NTB Education and Culture Office (Dikbud) are complementary evidence for the need for a suspect determination title.
"If the calculation results result contains state losses, we will hold (the determination of the suspect)," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation of the NTB Police Commissioner Fx. Endriadi in Mataram, Tuesday, was confiscated by Antara.
The alleged corruption that emerged in the 2022 procurement for the needs of the vocational high school (SMK) in NTB cost a special allocation fund of IDR 10.2 billion.
During the investigation stage, the police were recorded to have pocketed information from 57 witnesses from the NTB Provincial Education and Culture Office.
Those who have undergone examination included former Head of the NTB Education and Culture Office Aidy Furqan and Head of the Vocational High School Development Division (SMK) at the NTB Education and Culture Office Khairul Ihwan.
There are also providers of goods, goods procurement institutions from the government, and the school as recipients of goods.
In addition to pocketing criminal evidence from witnesses and waiting for the results of the BPKP audit, the police also strengthened the evidence by asking for the opinion of a criminal expert.
