Mendikdasmen Targetkan 288 Ribu Smartboard Disalurkan Ke Sekolah Tahun Ini

JAKARTA - Minister of Basic and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen) Abdul Mu'ti explained that the government is targeting to provide 288,000 Interactive Flat Panels (IFP) or smartboards to schools in Indonesia this year.

"This year we first focus on 288,000, one school (IFP)," said Mu'ti after a press conference with the Ministry of Education and Culture and Canva on Tuesday, November 11 in Jakarta.

The Daei of the target, Muti added, only about 50,000 smartboards have been used, and another 150,000 smartboards have been sent to each school.

"Currently, more than 50 thousand have been used and more than 150 thousand have been sent. So that later we plan to carry out a launch of the use of IFP by the President," he said further.

Furthermore, Mu'ti said the government would add three smartboards per school. That way, in total each school will have four IFP devices by the end of 2026.

"Mr. President, in the cabinet meeting, three schools will be distributed, so that in 2026 there are expected to be four IFPs in each school," he explained.

Then, he continued, and he said, in the following year, 2027 will be sent again two per school. So that by the end of 2027 if this goes smoothly, schools will have 6 IFPs.

For information, the provision of the smartboard is part of the learning digitization program, which is stated in Presidential Instruction Number 7 of 2025 which emphasizes the revitalization of educational units, the development of superior schools, to the implementation of learning digitization.

This smartboard is designed so that learning activities by teachers and students can be more creative by presenting the content in the form of text, video, audio, gaming, and even augmented reality.
