Less Than 24 Hours, Police Arrest Perpetrators Of Robbery Of Wife Of Tax Employee In Manokwari
MANOKWARI - A joint team from the West Papua Regional Police and the Manokwari Police have succeeded in arresting YH, the alleged perpetrator of the robbery accompanied by the murder of AGT, the wife of a tax service office (KPP) employee, Pratama Manokwari.
Manokwari Police Chief Kombes Ongky Isgunawan said the perpetrator was arrested less than 24 hours after the police received a report of a robbery incident that occurred on Monday at around 18.00 WIT.
"This is the result of the rapid work of the joint team in following up on the criminal report. We also express our deepest condolences to the families of the victims," said Ongky in Manokwari, Antara, Tuesday, November 11.
He explained that the perpetrator hid the victim's body in a septic tank, an empty house about 300 meters from the victim's rented house.
The police had deployed sniffer dogs since 13.00 WIT to trace the whereabouts of the victim in the empty house, but the effort had not yielded any results. The body was only found after the perpetrator was arrested.
"We have evacuated the victim's body to the Manokwari Hospital for the post-mortem process," said Ongky.
Based on the results of the initial investigation, it is known that the perpetrator had worked at the victim's house, so the police are still investigating the possible personal motives behind this crime.
Previously, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Manokwari Police, AKP Agung Gumara Samosir, said that his party had pocketed the identity of the perpetrator and pursued a number of locations since Monday night.
